Part 2: The Three-Phase Strategy
Let’s dive deeper into the KNOXX Web Serial Challenge I announced last week…
Phase 1: Foundation (Month 1) The first challenge is transforming literally thousands of scattered notes into a coherent narrative while building the KNOXX.online platform.
This is an ongoing work in progress.
Full disclosure: this phase has already been underway and progressing nicely.
I’m creating a 30-50 chapter list backlog while establishing the infrastructure that makes KNOXX the premier destination for intelligent sci-fi that you deserve.
The KNOXX Membership System is where things get interesting.
They’ll be five tiers:
Nerd (free), Slinger ($3), ::Ghost:: ($5), LORD ($10) and StarBender ($50).
Each tier offers progressively more access to the world—from 2 chapters ahead to 50 chapters ahead, plus full worldbuilding guides and interactive maps.
On initial launch, only the Nerd and Slinger tiers will be available.
For the the KNOXX+ Lifers (those who have taken full advantage of the KNOXX+ Lifetime Offer), you’ll automatically get access to all the perks of the highest available tier.
⚡Nerd Alert: The names reflect KNOXX’s in-world hierarchy, making your membership feel like joining an exclusive order.
As the backlog increases from 2 chapters ahead to 50 chapters ahead, I’ll rapidly open up the other tiers.
Phase 2: Launch & Ignition (Month 2) The first 5 chapters will be released publicly on the KNOXX website—no account needed. This is about proving quality upfront and giving you a risk-free test drive of what KNOXX is like.
Here’s the really dope part…
If you’re a KNOXX Nerd member, you’ll have access to read 2 chapters ahead of the public, giving you chapters 1-7 on day one.
If you’re a current KNOXX+ lifetime member or in the Slinger Tier, you’ll be able to read 10 chapters ahead of the public, giving you access to chapters 1-15 on launch day.
But volume isn’t enough; I need visibility on a platform with millions of stories.
That’s where Royal Road comes in…
After establishing the KNOXX.online foundation, I’ll launch on Royal Road with maximum impact—releasing 7 chapters simultaneously while demonstrating the posting schedule I can maintain.
Royal Road’s forums become KNOXX’s second home.
Daily participation in the Sci-Fi Discussion and Writer’s Resources forums establishes me as a thoughtful contributor, not just another self-promoter.
The goal is simple: become known as the person who writes intelligent sci-fi that respects readers like you.
Then comes the review swap strategy. I’ll target serious sci-fi authors for detailed review exchanges. This isn’t just about reciprocal ratings—it’s about building relationships with writers who understand philosophical depth.

Phase 3: Growth & Monetization (Month 3) By month 4, the foundation should be strong enough to support aggressive growth. All membership tiers go live with exclusive content across the board. If you’re a higher-tier subscriber, you’ll get access to lore entries, side quests, character guides and interactive world maps that make your subscription feel essential rather than optional.
Content multiplication becomes crucial. While maintaining the main storyline, I’ll drop informational lore chapters, develop the official KNOXX glossary and begin planning the first book release.
💡Here’s where I need help: A Discord server would be absolutely dope for building the community, but I’ll need a few moderators to help me so I can spend more time writing and less time refereeing the discord.
